Inner Tube Love

Knowing that it has been several days since I have been out on my bike due to lack of tubes my wonderful wife today told me that she was going to surprise me with some new ones.  She said the only thing that kept her from the bike shop today was that she had no idea what size to get.  She told me this as I was in the truck, on my lunch break, and headed in the general direction of the bike shop (coincidence?  maybe...).

I am so happy and appreciative to have her love and support as I take this journey.

The plan for the weekend is to go to spinning tomorrow morning - ride the bike there and back - and then to get in between 80 and 90 miles on Saturday.  There will be no excuses this time.  I am going to avoid all hills bigger than a freeway overpass and will have extra tubes and a patch kit.  I need to get some extreme miles in if I am going to be ready for 100MON.

For Saturday I am thinking of doing 60 miles in the early morning and then I am thinking of attending water aerobics again with Maria at 8:00am.  After that I am thinking I could slip back into the cycling gear and finish out the last 30 or so.  Does that count as a full 90 miles?  Should I skip the pool?  Will my legs be too tired and soar after a hour-and-a-half workout break?
