I hit a little bit of a miles stone yesterday but did not mention anything about it for fear that it would be short lived. I have been struggling the last few weeks to get back on the horse and take the dip below 270 pounds. I have been with a pound or two of it now for several weeks. My progress for about a month had stalled. Yesterday though it all changed.
After hitting a new low earlier this week I have been doing much better. One night while Maria was in the room reading a bedtime story to the kids I was shoving my face full of vanilla ice cream. My father-in-law called and I was talking to him, all the while still binging, and did not notice when Maria re-entered the room. I had been caught. That was bad enough but it got worse when she told me "you have no self-control do you" (spoken more as a statement than a question). My father-in-law had a good laugh at it as well. I have done a lot better though since then.
Yesterday after spin class I stepped on the scale and was down to 269. Today I weighed again after spinning and was down to 268. As long as I don't screw things up by Monday I should have a good number for posting in the weight log.
The reason for the above picture (our engagement photo) is because I am now down to a pre-marriage weight. I am just 15 pounds from the weight on my drivers licence. Most importantly I have less than 70 pounds to go until I reach my goal weight. It feels good to be back on track.
