Gnat Eye Deal

Today I went on what I was hoping to be at minimum another half century.  As you can see by the map (Point A and B are backwards - I started at B and ended at A) I did not have much of a plan where to go.  I first headed North but changed my mind and headed East.  After a while going East I decided to go West but did not want to do an exact back track so I went up a mile or two and then headed West.

It was while headed West that I thought I could swing by the radio station to pick up a prize I had won earlier in the week.  Without the address and only knowing the cross roads (that I now think were incorrect) I could not find the station office.  From there I figured I could go up and visit my dad and also pick up my mom's truck that I was going to be using to pick someone up at the airport in.  When all was said and done and I returned home to map it all out I had only gone 48 miles!!  I was hoping for at least 50 but 60 would have been nice. 

I also discovered the difficulty of riding with a bug in my eye - this is not ideal riding conditions I have learned.  I tried for quite a while to get the danged gnat out of my eye.  I am not even sure it ever came out or if I just mushed it up enough rubbing it that it stopped bothering me. 

I feel great after the ride and feel that I could have gone further, but at the same time I thought I had gone further.  I was out again at about 4:30 and done a little after 8:30.
