I am Back

I have been out of town all this last week.  I took the week off work and spent some time in St. Johns with family and away from the heat.  This marks the very first road trip with the bike!!  While in St. Johns I got out twice and rode a total of about 80 miles (see map 1 and map 2).

I wish I had gotten some pictures of the second ride.  It marks the first for me in many areas.  It was the first time riding at night, first time on the open highway, first time in the rain, first time in some major wind and first time hitting some real hills over a long distance. 

I rode with the father of a high school friend - I needed a pump and knew I could turn to him.  While at his house airinp up my tires we decided to go on a ride later in the week.  The day came and the clouds were gray.  I asked if he still wanted to go and he responded "how crazy are you?"  I said pretty crazy I guess and he responded "well I am really crazy."  We left and hit some rain and lots of wind.  A ride that he said normally takes him 2.5 hours took us 3.5 hours.  It was a blast though and I can't wait to do it again.
