Trek 7000

I am being drawn towards the Trek 7000.  It is really close to my price range, looks great, has tons of good reviews and seems like it would work just fine for me.  I think I need to go into a bike shop and give it a spin.  If nothing else if I at least go in maybe they can stear me the right way if I am going astray.
