I went to the doctor's office for a physical and check-up today (I hadn't been into the doctors for a physical in years!). The appointment went well. One thing the doctor did make note of and shared with me is the fact that I am... [drum roll please]... overweight. Surprise. Surprise.
The doctor mentioned the benefits of being at a healthy weight and also mentioned that some of the other health issue I am facing or can potentially face could be helped, if not resolved, by loosing some weight (he actually said an ideal weight would be in the 200 pound area) As of right now the doctor's orders are to reduce my sodium intake.
What I think I am being told by the doctor is that I need to put more effort into my own health and well being. I think this morning's appointment was a good thing for me and has put my butt a bit more into gear (and on a saddle quick).
